Hey, I'm Ludmila—you can call me Ludi.
I'm a writer, editor, illustrator, and all-round creative.
I have always been fascinated by liminal spaces and, as a mixed race Latina and a first generation American, I've been exploring ideas of identity and belonging my entire life.
I was raised in a multicultural, multilingual home (I speak Spanish, English, and French) in a predominantly white community in the Pacific Northwest. So, naturally, I began questioning my place in the world at a young age.
In 2013, I graduated with a bachelor's in political science (I minored in gender and sexuality studies) and spent a few years working in grassroots activism, including as a domestic violence and sexual assault counselor and a youth workshop facilitator.
In 2015, I started working in journalism and media after realizing I wanted to drive social change in a more creative way.
Today, I take on creative projects in a variety of different realms but, no matter the medium, my goal is always to spark important conversations through storytelling.
